Melissa LaFata, born in 1979, is a life-long resident of Erie, Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, College of Business Administration in 2002 and her Juris Doctorate degree from Dickinson School of Law-Pennsylvania State University in 2005.

Her practice is now concentrated in workers' compensation (representing injured workers), personal injury, products liability, automobile and motorcycle accident cases. Melissa also practices in the area of family law, including divorce, custody, adoption, and support. Melissa also enjoys assisting clients who are entering into marriage with premarital agreements.
